The winner for this week's SunShots theme, "Summer crops," is Harry Bosk for his photo of tomatoes at the Farmers' Market under the JFX. Bosk says he used a low aperture to create a shallow depth of field. He says he was "focusing on the tomatoes when the women's hand with cash interrupted my shot. It turned out to be a fortuitous accident." Baltimore Sun photographer Algerina Perna agrees. "The hand holding the money and the blurred keys in the foreground gives a sense of immediacy to this photo. The out-of-focus background adds information while keeping the attention on the foreground. The rim light on the tomatoes from the natural light sets each one apart from the others. These elements add up to a winner."
