John Harman Jr., met his wife Abbe while as an intern at the National Aquarium. They were married in the aquarium's 335,000-gallon Atlantic Coral Reef exhibition in 1991. The couple returned for a private dive in the same 13-foot deep tank to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.

At Baltimore National Cemetery, Edward Schmedes, 84, of Bel Air, visits the grave of his father, 1SG Peter A. Schmedes with his great-granddaughter Grace Schmedes, 4, also of Bel Air, and other family members, on Memorial Day weekend. He recalled that his father served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War, as well as in WWI.
