St. Michael the Archangel Ukranian Catholic Church, built in the Neo-Byzantine style, is located at 2401 Eastern Avenue in Canton across from Patterson Park.  It was founded in 1872 by Ukranian immigrants and its current building, completed in 1991, was modeled after a design in Kyiv, Ukraine.

It was founded in 1899 by fewer than 20 members who met in the basement of a house on Russell Terrace. Since then it has grown and expanded from various locations into its current building, completed in 2010, which seats 4000 people.

It was designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe, who was considered  the father of American architecture.  The cathedral, which is known as the Baltimore Basilica, is located downtown at 409 Cathedral Street.
