Cricket pitches at Schooley Mill Park were played at Schooley Mill Park Saturday September 17, 2022. The sport, Cricket is growing Howard County. County Executive Ball officially opened the county's sixth cricket pitch (and first designated youth cricket pitch) on Aug. 24 at Lake Elkhorn Middle School. Ball has invested heavily in the fast-growing sport throughout his administration, efforts that paid off when Howard County secured the 8th annual National Youth Cricket League (NYCL) tournament in July 2021, bringing 93 teams from around the country to the area.
