Kristen and Robert Kucner
David and Linda Hicks, of Woodbridge, Va., announce the marriage of their daughter, Kristen Hicks, to Robert Kucner, son of Richard and Gwen Kucner, of Timonium, in May.
The bride earned a bachelor's degree from Villanova University, in Villanova, Pa., and a masters in public health administration from George Mason University, in Fairfax, Va. She is a medical statistics analyst at St. Francis Medical Center, in Peoria, Ill.
The groom is a graduate of Dulaney High School, and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's and doctorate degree in manufacturing/industrial engineering from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. He is an engineering consultant at Caterpiller Corp., in Peoria.
The ceremony was held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, in Washington. The Rev. William Byrne officiated. A reception followed at the Capitol Hill Republican Club.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia, and in Peoria.
