Police say man robbed two Towson-area banks over the course of two weeks

Baltimore County police are searching for a man who they say robbed a pair of M&T Bank locations in Towson over the past two weeks.

The most recent robbery took last Tuesday, Oct. 18, place at about 11:45 a.m. at the M&T Bank in the 1000 block of York Road, police said.

According to a county release, the man approached a teller station, passed a note to the teller indicating that he had a weapon, and demanded money.

He fled with an undisclosed amount in an older, gray Toyota Camry with paper tags, according to an incident report.

Earlier, on Thursday, Oct. 13, the man used similar tactics to rob another M&T Bank, this one located in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard.

In that robbery, the man again handed the teller a note that said he had a gun and told her not to scream. The teller filled a bag with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.

The man is described as a black male, approximately 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-8, 170 pounds with brown eyes, black hair, and a medium complexion.
