Get your mallets ready: The annual Stella Maris crab feast and auction is set for Sunday, Oct. 9, from 1 to 6 p.m., at the State Fairgrounds in Timonium.
The afternoon will be filled with fun and food, and most importantly, all proceeds will benefit Hospice Services at Stella Maris.
Festivities will include all-you-can-eat steamed crabs, pit beef, pit turkey and a full buffet, drink beer and soda, and games, music and great auction items.

Stella Maris' services include senior living facilities, home care, long-term care, rehabilitation services, Alzheimer's and dementia care, hospice care and a senior day center.
The Dustin Bauer Memorial Run-4-Life, a 5-k and 1-mile walk and run, will take place Sunday, Oct. 23, at 4 p.m., at Oregon Ridge Park in Hunt Valley.

St. Joseph's Church in Cockeysville is again inviting participants to an information session on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m. or on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Parish Center.
