Field hockey: Baltimore County championship game postponed

Dulaney's Kenzie Brown celebrated a goal in an eventual loss in stroke-offs to Catonsville on Oct. 6. She hoped to get a chance to try and dethrone three-time Baltimore County champion and unbeaten Hereford on Wednesday night at Lansdowne High, but the county title game was moved back until Thursday because of inclement weather. The Baltimore County field hockey championships, originally scheduled for tonight at Lansdowne High, have been rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 20.

The varsity game between Hereford and Dulaney will be held at 7:30 p.m., after the junior varsity county title clash between the same two schools, at 5:30 p.m.

Hereford (11-0) has won 12 of the past 15 county titles and is looking for its fourth straight varsity county crown.

Dulaney (8-4) last won the county title in 2006.

The same two teams met earlier this season with Hereford prevailing, 1-0.

The Bulls also defeated the Lions by the same 1-0 score, on Mary Claire Abbott's goal, in last year's county championship game.
