Towson crime log: Retirement community burgled

The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.



Breezy Tree Court, unit block, between 8 p.m. Dec. 10 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 11. Coins stolen from coin boxes in laundry room.

Montview Court, unit block, between 6 a.m. and 5:53 p.m. Dec. 9. Snow blower and gas can stolen from open garage.

Warren Road, 400 block, between Nov. 28 and Dec. 7. Four copper bars stolen from storage building.

Harding Street, unit block, between 8:05 a.m. and 3:55 p.m. Dec. 5. Cash, iPod, jewelry, Swiss Army knife, 1996 Dulaney High School ring stolen. Entry by prying open rear door.


Pot Spring Road, 2500 block, between Dec. 7 and Dec. 9. Three units at Mercy Ridge Retirement Community were broken into Dec. 7 and 9. Silverware and cash stolen between 5 and 5:45 p.m. Dec. 7. No sign of forced entry. Between 5 and 5:55 p.m. Dec. 9, cash, and jewelry stolen from dresser. During same time frame, resident came home to find a white male in his 30s in his home. Intruder claimed he was with maintenance, but left in a green Ford Expedition when asked for identification.

York Road, 1200 block of York Road, Dec. 6. Three offices were broken into. Two break-ins occurred between 5:30 and 9:52 p.m. Office of Mady and Mules Physical Therapy Sports Rehabilitation ransacked, and cash stolen from a cash box, empty safe pried open. Also, office of Stephen Cameron, DDS, entered after front window shattered. A motion detector went off. At 9:28 p.m., unsuccessful attempt to enter offices of Gus Livaditis, DDS, by prying open front door.

Misty Wood Circle, unit block, between 7:30 a.m. and 2:27 p.m. Dec. 5. Four cameras and cash stolen. Means of entry unknown.

Greenspring Drive, 1900 block, between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 2 and 7 a.m. Dec. 5. Catalytic converters stolen from five vehicles at Tyres Auto Repair.


Joppa Road at Fairmount Avenue, 9 p.m. Dec. 10. Man stabbed after refusing to give thief his wallet. Stabber fled on foot.

Loch Bend Drive, 8700 block, 10:20 p.m. Dec. 10. Man with black handgun stole $130 from man.

York Road, 7800 block, between 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 8:45 a.m. Dec. 10. Cash stolen and front glass door damaged at Sports Physical Therapy.

Pleasant Plains Road, 8600 block, 4:05 a.m. Dec. 9. Man with semi-automatic handgun stole money from 7-Eleven, then fled on foot.


York Road, 8000 block, 5:05 a.m. Dec. 9. Person entered apartment through kitchen window , then fled.

Dogwood Lane, 500 block, between 10 a.m. Dec. 8 and 2:30 p.m. Dec. 10. Central air conditioner stolen from side of house.

York Road at Towsontown Boulevard, 12:20 a.m. Dec. 8. Two men robbed by six men in a black Suburban. Wallet, cash stolen.

York Road, 900 block, between 4:25 and 4:35 a.m. Dec. 8. Security apprehended one of two men who broke into school building.

Aigburth Road at Cedar Avenue, at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 8. Two Motorola cell phones and cash stolen from two men by two armed men in ski masks.

Hopkins Road, 300 block, between 2 and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7. Glass broken on basement door.

Providence Road, 800 block, between 9 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6 a.m. Dec. 6. Three 500-pound weights and work bench stolen.

Greenview Terrace, 10:17 p.m., Dec. 3. Two men with black semi-automatic handgun stole wallet and cash from two men.
