Police say customer at Five Guys in Towson had carryout order: stolen items

Baltimore County Police report that a man at the Five Guys restaurant in Towson carried out more than a burger on Sunday from the popular eatery — he also took items from a storage area.

Police said the incident occurred on Aug. 26 at about 4:13 p.m. at the restaurant, in the 900 block of York Road.


According to the report, the man ordered food, then entered a storage area and took a Samsung Focus cell phone and wallet containing driver's license, debit card and cash from a purse. The report said he then fled out a side door.

North Charles Street, 6200 block, between 1:15 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. Aug. 26. Two men broke lock on front door of 7-Eleven, but left without taking anything.

Dalhousie Court, 1800 block, between 10 p.m. and 8:12 a.m. Aug. 23. Coin mechanisms on two washing machines destroyed.

Murdock Road, 700 block, between midnight and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 22. Laptop, cell phone, wallet, purse and camera stolen from residence. Rear kitchen window screen removed.

Wentworth Avenue, 1800 block, between 11:50 a.m. and 12:03 p.m. Aug. 22. Person set fire to gas tank of 2007 Merz sedan. Car destroyed.

East Joppa Road, 1600 block, at 9:40 p.m. Aug. 22. Man stole woman's flip phone from victim in front of Hess Station.

Dalhousie Court, 1800 block, before 6:45 a.m. Aug. 21. Vandals broke into locked laundry room, cut gas and water lines, flipped over two washers and dryers and stole coins from coin machine.

West Joppa Road, 1500 block, between 3 p.m. Aug. 20 and 10 a.m. Aug. 21. Silver 2002 Ford Escape, Maryland tag 202M688, stolen from driveway. The report indicated that the owner left keys in car.

North Charles Street, 6200 block, between 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and 6:45 a.m. Aug. 21. Thief destroyed safe and stole money from 7-Eleven. Telephone and power lines were cut.

Charles Ridge Road, 7000 block, between 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and 6 a.m. Aug. 21. Thief cut chain, stole moped from location.

Ruxwood Road, 7800 block, between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 19 and 7 a.m. Aug. 20. Mountain bike and helmet stolen from locked shed.

Ruxwood Road, 7800 block, between 10:30 p.m. Aug. 19 and 8:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Thief stole pocketbook from vehicle and tried to steal car at location.


Circle Road, 1700 block, between 4 p.m. Aug. 14 and 12:57 p.m. Aug. 24. Playstation 3, television, silverware set, gift card, safe and currency stolen from location. Thief entered through garage window.

Virginia Avenue, 500 block, 11:56 a.m. Aug. 13. A house was vandalized.


Broad Avenue, 2000 block, between 8 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7:42 a.m. Aug. 13. Three businesses, Image Is Salon, Menchey Music and Hill Management Services, broken into after drywall separating them was broken. Nothing taken.

Greenspring Drive, 1900 block, between 3:30 and 3:39 a.m. Aug. 13. Cash stolen from cash register at Northeastern Supply after front door pried open and glass broken.

York Road, 2300 block, between 8:12 p.m. Aug. 17 and 8:12 p.m. Aug. 18. Unsuccessful attempt to pry open front door at Waist Not Want Not.

York Road, 1800 block, 1:05 a.m. Aug. 15. Man entered Walgreens, put on white mask and told clerk to empty cash register. Clerk put cash in bag and man fled on foot on Ridgely Road.

East Timonium Road, 400 block, between 9 p.m. Aug. 25 and 10:45 a.m. Aug. 26. Briefcase and wallet stolen from unlocked vehicle. Items later found in grass across street. Two other vehicles were ransacked, but nothing taken.


Malcolm Circle, 10300 block, between 12:01 a.m. Aug. 19 and 11:59 p.m. Aug. 20. One tire on each of 10 vehicles was punctured.

Cedar Tree Court, unit block, between 12:30 a.m. and 7:22 a.m. Aug. 21. One tire on each of 10 vehicles was punctured.

Cockeysville Road, 200 block, between 9 p.m. Aug. 12 and 7 a.m. Aug. 13. Fifty-two sheets of 3-foot by 10-foot copper roofing stolen from Marathon Roofing. Entry by breaking through block wall.

Cockeysville Road, 200 block, on Aug. 13. Two cash registers and three train sets stolen from M.B. Klein Co. after front door pried open.

Warren and Beaver Dam roads, between 5 and 5:20 p.m. Man told police two co-workers followed him to light rail station, punched him in the face and took his wallet.

Sandringham Road, 10800 block, between 7 a.m. Aug. 5 and 6 p.m. Aug. 20. Glass cutter used to cut glass on basement window, but no entry made.

Williamson Lane, 10800 block, between noon Aug. 18 and 10:30 a.m. Aug. 20. Hole broken in rear concrete wall at Two Tuff Techs, then concrete wall into neighboring business, the Dark Side, broken and business entered. Unknown if anything taken.

Sherwood Road, 400 block, between 7:08 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 15. Cash, purse and jewelry stolen from upstairs bedroom. Air conditioner removed from window to enter.
