Towson Crime Log: Man assaulted, robbed while walking home from work

A man was attacked last week in Towson by two men who assaulted him with a handgun, according to Baltimore County Police reports.

The was walking home from work at Hillsway Avenue and Halstead Road, at 11:30 p.m. April 30.


He was confronted by two men with handgun, according to the police report. The victim tried to flee but was assaulted by a suspect with the gun.

According to the report, the assailants stole a bag containing a hat, two pairs of eyeglasses, a pocket knife and cell phone.

Valley Lake Place, unit block, between noon April 28 and noon April 29. Coins stolen from laundry room machines after door pried open and machines broken.

Chetwood Circle, 2400 block, between 8:45 a.m. and 5:20 p.m. May 2. Safe containing documents and Samsung Galaxy phone stolen. Entry by forcing glass door and breaking security bar.

Windy Falls Way, 100 block, between April 11 and 6 p.m. May 2. Baby gate, sleeping bag, lights and Christmas decorations stolen from storage room. Lock pried off.

Silversage Court, unit block, between 5 p.m. May 4 and 11 a.m. May 5. Trimmer and blower stolen from unlocked shed.

Beehive Place, unit block, at 9:30 p.m. May 5. Two men pointed handguns at two other men and demanded money. After getting cash, the assailants ran toward Cranbrook Road.


York Road, 2100 block, between 4 p.m. April 28 and 6 a.m. April 30. Rear door at Kimco Realty broken and office entered. Then, wall into neighboring business, Fairgrounds Discount Liquors, was broken. An office window at liquor store was broken and safe with cash stolen.

Charmuth Road, 1100 block, between 4 p.m. April 28 and 6 a.m. April 30. Fenced construction site entered and copper piping stolen.

West Seminary Road, 500 block, between 1:15 a.m. and 1:43 a.m. May 4. Key lock from front door of Royal Farm Store removed, and then motion sensor, alarm keypad and fire alarm removed. Nothing stolen.

York Road, 1400 block, between 7:40 p.m. May 3 and 3:30 a.m. May 4. Glass door at Galleria Deli smashed and money from two cash registers and tip jar stolen. Glass door at Seminary Cleaners smashed and cash stolen from cash register.


Dulaney Valley Road, 1300 block, between 8 a.m. May 4 and 11:20 a.m. May 6. Jewelry, cash and checks stolen. Rear patio door pried open.


Loch Bend Drive, 8700 block at 3:45 a.m. May 6. Man pushed into woman's apartment while she closed door, hit woman in face and stole cell phone.

Pennsylvania Avenue and York Road, at 2:15 a.m, May 5. Two men approached man with knife, demanded money. After getting cash from man's wallet, robbers forced man to withdraw money from BB&T ATM at Allegheny Avenue and Washington Avenue and then fled.

Acorn Circle, unit block between 12:15 and 6:47 a.m., May 3. Resident had a guest spending the night, then woke up to find the guest was gone, and the victim's blue 2007 Toyota Camry, North Carolina tag ALH5511, laptop, cell phone, keys, driver's license, bank and credit cards had been stolen.

Locust Avenue, 1300 block at 5:30 a.m. May 3. Woman awoke to alarm sounding and dog barking. Back door was ajar. Woman discovered change was missing from car.

Fairmount Avenue, 900 block between 8 a.m. and 7:20 p.m., May 3. Thief broke basement door window, searched drawers around house and stole cash from kitchen drawer.

Towsontown Boulevard and Virginia Avenue, at 10 p.m. April 30. Woman was talking with four men in park gazebo. Men attempted to assault her, but the woman fled, then called police.

Dulaney Valley Road, 700 block between 12:45 p.m. April 29 and 9 a.m. April 30. Two laptops stolen from office at Express Title Services.

Kenlawn Court, unit block between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. April 27. MacBook Pro laptop stolen from location. Door was unlocked.

Briarcliff Road, 1800 block between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., April 25. 32-inch Vizio TV, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Toshiba Laptop and Xbox 360 stolen. No forced entry.
