Burglars made off with cash and electronic equipment valued at nearly $2,000 from the County Club of Maryland on Monday, Dec. 5, according to Baltimore County Police.
Police spokeswoman Cathy Batton said that between 7:30 and 8:45 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5, thieves used a ladder to break in through a clubhouse window of the country club, which is located on Stevenson Road in Towson.
Country Club of Maryland General Manager Dick Celeste said the thieves took two flat-screen televisions and about $400 cash, and attempted, but failed, to steal a third television that was mounted to the wall.
The thieves kicked in doors and ransacked two offices in search of cash, but Celeste said there was little to be found.
"We're basically a non-cash organization," Celeste said. "It's all in-house charges."
Batton said police presently have no information on suspects.
