Ten down, two to go.
That's essentially the number of floors left to lease at Towson City Center, the landmark 12-story building on York Road near the Towson roundabout that is being revived from its previous life as Towson's Investment Building.
The building's leasing firm, Cassidy Turley, said Wednesday, May 2, that only the fifth and sixth floors of the 157,712-square-foot, office building redevelopment remained unleased. Each of those two floors has about 12,000 square feet of space, according to company officials.
Towson City Center is slated to open in July.
The largest single tenant for the building will be Towson University — the university has leased four floors, totaling nearly 58,000 square feet of space.
The university's radio station, WTMD, will be relocated from campus to the building, and TU is also relocating its research, graduate and some technical space from its central campus to Towson City Center.
The owners of City Center, Caves Valley Partners, together with the company, Mile One, will occupy another four floors. A MileOne Service Center will be located nearby on York Road where tenants' cars can be serviced.
The company said that other tenants who have signed on include Business Suites, which will lease a floor to provide executive suites for sole proprietorships or small companies in need of business services; and WMS Partners, a multi-family office, investment advisory and financial planning firm.
In addition, Cunningham Kitchen, a new restaurant operated by Bagby Restaurant Group, will lease a portion of the lower level and a part of the first floor. The "farm-to-kitchen American steakhouse" restaurant will offer a lunch menu and a more expansive, upscale dinner menu.
The building will also include the Wellness Center, which will be operated by Towson University and made available to Towson City Center tenants.
