I-95 South reopens after tractor trailer jackknifed

A jackknifed tractor trailer on Interstate 95 South near the Route 100 interchange caused major delays Thursday afternoon, according to the State Highway Administration.

The major highway, which was down to one lane for approximately two hours, was reopened just after 4 p.m., according to the SHA.

A crash involving a flat-bed truck and a tractor trailer south of the Route 100 interchange caused the trailer to jackknife on to a grassy area on the right side of the highway, according to the SHA.

On Thursday morning, an accident involving two tractor trailers on Route 100 caused major delays, closing all but one lane during the morning commute.

That accident, which occurred at 5:29 a.m., was cleared at 11:06 a.m.
