It's that time again to mark your calendars for the 2012 Cecil County Fair to be held July 20 to 28 in Fair Hill.

Activities at the Elks Club in Havre de Grace include bingo June 27 (there is no breakfast June 24).


Breakfast will be served June 24 at the Perryville Fire Company, 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

A variety quarter auction will be held June 29 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 201 Mount Royal Ave. in Aberdeen. Doors open at 6 p.m. with games starting at 7. Food and drinks will be available. Paddles are $2 each with a two paddle limit. Homemade and handmade gifts, vendor items and more will be available. This event will benefit the National Youth Gathering.

Justine and Frank Billings along with their children and their families attended a family reunion in Westminster. Daughter Judy and her husband, Jon, and children, Kristin and Kevin Malone, and the son Frank Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, and their twins, Francine and Francis III, were all in attendance.

Paul and Victoria Marshall recently returned from a short visit to the beach.

Hanna and Steven Stallings were guests of honor at a party to honor their first wedding anniversary last weekend. Friends and family joined for a picnic to honor their first wedding anniversary.

A community yard sale will be held Saturday rain or shine at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, both indoors in Fellowship Hall and outdoors on the parking lot, from 8 a.m. to noon, Outside space, including one table, is $10; inside space, including two tables, is $15 inside. An evening concert with Charlie Zahm and fiddler Tad Marks and guitarist Steve Hobson with be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Aberdeen on Friday Aug. 10 at 7 p.m. Adults are $10, children under 16 are free. Delight in the sounds of Celtic, Maritime, Early Americana and Religious music. Havre de Grace Chapter 27 held its June meeting this past week with a covered dish dinner.

A donation of $150 was given to the Worthy Matron Sister Pam Kincaid for Ways and Means. Twenty-nine members and guests were present, including me, Grand Martha of the Grand Chapter of Maryland Order of the Eastern Star; Past Grand Patron Brother Ronald Mathias; Deputy Grand Lecturer Betty Bollock; Worthy Matron Dottie Gregg from Elkton Chapter 84; Grand Representatives Sister Diane Smith (New Hampshire) and Brother Tom McLaughlin (Alberta in Delaware).

Birthday wishes go to Pam Kincaid, June 13 and Betty McFadden, June 20.

Maurice and Dottie Arsenault are sent happy anniversary wishes on their June 21 anniversary. – 51 years.

Tim and Debbie Zacharek are sent happy 18th anniversary wishes on their June 25 anniversary.

Greg and Lori Wood are wished a very happy June 24 anniversary and Ed and Pam Illick are sent June 27 anniversary wishes. Howard and Lois Wright are wished happy anniversary on their June 28 anniversary.
