Congratulations to Reba Ann Hause on her recent graduation from Anne Arundel Community College, where she received her certificate as an emergency medical technician – paramedic. The emergency medical technician program provides the knowledge and skills to personnel who will care for the acutely sick and injured. These skills prepare students to practice as competent entry-level pre-hospital providers. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for employment with a fire department, an inter-facility transport service or as a technician in a hospital emergency department.

Congratulations to Danielle McGuigan, recipient of the Terumo Systems Scholarship for 2012.

Joann Wilson of Hollywood, Fla., has been visiting with her family this past week. Jo flew in June 6 and has enjoyed the week with her parents, Herb and Mary Lou Southall. The highlight of her trip was a weekend getaway to Ocean City with her mother, Mary Lou, and her brother, my husband, Roger. On the way home they stopped to visit with her sister, Linda Southall Barton, and her family, Natalie and Jeffrey. They enjoyed a hamburger and hot dog picnic while at Linda's. This was Joann's first trip to see Linda's new home. While at home the family enjoyed several crab feasts! Joann doesn't get those good steamed crabs fixed ala Maryland style in Florida.
