Charles Albert Maslin, former Havre de Grace Councilman convicted of sexually abusing a boy who grew up in the Maslin home, will this month face allegations that he violated conditions of his release from prison.
A representative of the Maryland Parole Commission said his hearing is scheduled to take place in September, but added the date is not releasable to the public. She did say it hadn't happened yet.
After earning enough credits, Maslin was released on mandatory supervision from the Division of Corrections in December 2007, a spokesman for the state prison system said.
As a condition of his release, he was ordered not to have contact with children under the age of 18.
Maslin is accused of violating that condition and Havre de Grace police served a warrant on Maslin Aug. 9.
A concerned citizen reported Maslin's involvement with a snowball stand and the near impossibility to avoid children under the age of 18 when involved with such a business.
Lori Maslin, Charles Maslin's wife, owns Snowball Experience in Havre de Grace.
If he is found guilty of the violation, the penalty will depend upon the Maryland Parole Commission's investigation and he could go back to jail.
Maslin was convicted in 1997 of sexually molesting James Christopher Waters when Waters was between the ages of 9 and 13.
