November is a busy month for the Aberdeen Senior Activity Center.
Today (Friday) starts out early with a Quilting Workshop from 9 until noon. This workshop is held every Friday. The men will hold their Discussion Group from 10 until 11 a.m. Then, from 12:30 until 2:30 p.m. there will be Theater Entertainment with Linda Bratcher.
On Monday, Nov. 5, the PM Knit and Crochet Studio will meet, as they do every Monday from 10 a.m. until noon. Also, the Basic Computer Workshop will meet from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., as they also do every Monday.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the day starts early with a Basket Weaving Studio from 8:30 until 10:30 a.m., as it does every Tuesday. From 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. the Diabetes Support Group will meet, as they do every first and third Tuesday. Every Tuesday the Golden Age Club meets from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. and the New Spanish Class with Joyce Stevens meets from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m.
On Thursday, Nov. 8, the Delta Sorority Sisters will call all Women Veterans from 10 a.m. until noon.
On Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, there will be special treat when a Thanksgiving Dinner for Seniors, sponsored by Dee's Flower Shop of Aberdeen will have seatings at 4 and 5 p.m. at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Chapel.
On Monday, Nov. 12, the Aberdeen Senior Center will be closed for Veterans Day.
On Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 11:30 a.m., the Maryland Insurance Administration with Patty Dunn will hold a discussion on the "ends and outs of insurance."
Thursday, Nov. 15 will be a big day for the Senior Center because members will be decorating for Christmas. They will start at 9 a.m. and continue until they are finished! Also from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. the AARP Driving Safety Program with Chester will be held and free to veterans. From 10 a.m. until noon there will be bingo with nutrition.
On Friday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. until noon the Senior Center will be saluting our veterans with guest speaker and refreshments.
