Edgewood man arrested for slashing man in the neck in Aberdeen

A man from Middle River, in Baltimore County, was sent to the hospital with a slash wound to his neck Monday, and an Edgewood man was arrested for the assault, Aberdeen police said in a press release.

Aberdeen police officers responded to the first block of Pritchard Avenue in Aberdeen at about 5:40 p.m. on Monday, where they found a wounded Anthony L. Johnson Jr., 25, of Middle River, according to the news release.

Paramedics from the Aberdeen Fire Department treated Johnson at the scene and then took him to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, where he was treated and released.

Robert A. McClellan, 23, of Edgewood, was arrested and charged with first-degree and second-degree assault and related weapons charges, according to the news release.

McClellan is being held at the Harford County Detention Center on $50,000 bail.
