A television and a .22-caliber rifle were stolen from a house in the 17000 block of Gerting Road between 11 a.m. and 1:51 p.m. on Jan. 20. A rear door had been kicked in to gain entrance to the house.
That same day, a house in the 1500 block of Magers Landing Road was broken into between noon and 1:30 p.m. and a television, multimedia projector and Wii game system were stolen. The intruder got in by prying a rear window open, police report.
And later that day, sometime between noon and 6:47 p.m. on Jan. 20, two shotguns, two handguns and two televisions were stolen from a house in the 3000 block of Shepperd Road after a rear basement door was forced open.
Police reported that a fourth house in Monkton in the 16800 block of Gerting Road, was burglarized between 1:30 p.m. on Jan. 18 and 1:09 p.m. Jan. 20, after the intruder got in through an unlocked front door. A television and radio were stolen.
Lt. Robert McGraw, assistant commander at the Cockeysville police precinct, said police are looking for two black males in their 30s driving a blue or gray four-door Honda.
McGraw said police believe the intruders would check to make sure no one was home, then broke in through a rear door or window. After gaining access, the intruders would open the garage door, pull their vehicle inside and then ransack the house.
McGraw asks anyone spotting the vehicle to call 911. Anyone with information about the burglaries should call Det. Shane Lawson at 410-887-6296.
