Eight Hereford seniors who play lacrosse have signed national letters of intent to accept college athletic scholarships. The list is made up of five female and three male athletes.

Margaret Wright is going to Coastal Carolina University; MacKenzie Lange is headed to Vanderbilt; Emily May will play for Lehigh; Lacey Aghazarian is going to Drexel; and Jackie Howard will attend Mount St. Mary's.

Conor Cunningham is going to Hofstra, and Joe Seider and Jack Adams both signed on with Towson University.

"They are all incredible, high-caliber athletes who will find lots of playing time at college," said Mike Kalisz, athletic director at Hereford.

Kalisz acknowledged the students at a lunch on Nov. 29. He asked them to wear a T-shirt or sweatshirt with the name of their new home for the next four years.

"The paradigm of a scholar-athlete is good," said Andrew Last, Hereford's principal. "These students are as qualified in the classroom as they are on the lacrosse field."
