All-day Faith Festival slated for July 9

A new missions group composed of volunteers from many North County United Methodist churches is sponsoring an all-day Faith Festival on July 9 at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Freeland.

The festival runs from noon to 8 p.m. and features music, inspirational speakers, crafts and games for children, and food vendors. It is being held outside, so visitors are asked to bring chairs and blankets.

There is no admission charge, but free will offerings will be collected. Proceeds will benefit Volunteers in Mission. The group is currently made up of 19 people who are traveling to Kentucky this month to do missions work. They hope to find future mission projects in the North County area that can be accomplished in a day or a weekend.

Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is located at 20190 Mt. Zion Road, Freeland.
