The Mountain Club of Maryland conducts hikes, overnight and camping trips and maintains trails.

Sat., July 9, Gathland State Park to Weverton Cliffs: This 12-mile out-and-back hike on the Appalachian Trail in Washington County replicates the club's first hike 1934. The trail has many very rocky sections and no stream crossings. Moderate pace. 410-747-2868.
