COLUMBIA, MD (August 7, 2013) - It's time to save at The Mall in Columbia! From Sunday, August 11 to Saturday, August 17, shoppers can take advantage of Maryland-Tax-Free Week, which provides a tax break on clothing and footwear items priced under $100 per item.
"Tax Free Week comes at a perfect time for our patrons at The Mall in Columbia," said Michelle Jose, marketing manager for The Mall in Columbia. "Maryland families are preparing for the school year and this is a great opportunity for them to save a little money on their purchases, without the Maryland State tax of six percent."
Accessory items are not exempt from Maryland sales tax during the tax-free week, including jewelry, watches, watchbands, handbags, handkerchiefs, umbrellas, scarves, ties, headbands and belt buckles.
