Anne Arundel County police arrested a Laurel man Tuesday following an early-evening robbery near Whiskey Bottom Road.
Around 7:47 p.m. on Nov. 8, police responded to the area of Whiskey Bottom Road and Laurel View Court for a report of a robbery. A 29-year-old man told police he was approached on Whiskey Bottom Road by two males. The victim told police one male asked him for a cigarette, then assaulted him, and then both males took an undisclosed amount of money from him and fled on a silver bike.
Officers stopped two individuals for questioning near Laurel View Court, and the victim positively identified one suspect, Devin M. Jones, 22, of Whiskey Bottom Road, as being involved in the robbery. Jones was arrested and charged with robbery and second degree assault. Police are investigating the identity of the second suspect.
