The Spartans gave up three touchdowns in the first half to fall behind early on their way to a 33-6 loss to Flowers. With the loss Saturday, Nov. 5, Laurel finished the season 2-8.
Laurel had 12 first downs in the game and was able to force Flowers into seven penalties, but had trouble stopping Flowers, which picked up 14 first downs and punted just twice on the day.
Jarvis McClam completed 18 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 16 times, losing 42 yards in the process. Michael Glass led all Laurel rushers with two rushes for nine yards. Patrick Holmes, Lolode Edwin and Joel Roberson combined for six rushes for six yards.
John Ketum led all receivers with six catches for 111 yards and a touchdown. Holmes and Roberson caught a combined 11 passes for 119 yards.
Defensively, Ketum and Tyler Harmon each sacked the quarterback once, while Glass and Brenden Clinton each recovered a fumble.
Pallotti football
Pallotti Prep fell behind early and never recovered in a 40-0 loss to Annapolis Area Christian School Friday, Nov. 4 to finish 2-8 on the season.
The Panthers gave up 17 points in the first quarter, including a 25-yard interception returned for a touchdown. By halftime, the Eagles had extended their lead over Pallotti to 38-0.
Senior quarterback Raffi Correa completed seven of his 21 pass attempts for 93 yards and two interceptions. Myles Wong led all Pallotti receivers with three catches for 66 yards, while Julian Mealy added two catches for four yards. Travis Harrison and Allen Bright each had one catch for 20 yards and three yards, respectively. Harrison ran once for 21 yards, while Mealy added 13 yards on three rushes.
