Three candidates are contending for the District 1 seat on the Prince George's County Board of Education, including two that ran in 2010.
Zabrina Epps and Michael McLaughlin, both of Laurel, filed candidacy Wednesday, Jan. 11, hours before the 9 p.m. deadline. They join David Murray, of Bowie, in the District 1 race. Murray filed in December.
They'll be vying for the seat left vacant by Rosalind Johnson, of Laurel, who has been on the board since 2006 and is not seeking re-election.
McLaughlin and Murray both ran in District 1 in 2010. McLaughlin lost in the primary and Murray lost to Johnson in the general election.
The 2012 primary is April 3.
