Congratulations to Russett Sharks swim team

An exciting way to get involved is being made available thanks to the Watershed Stewards Academy. The academy, an initiative of the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works and Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center to help communities in their efforts to restore local waterways, is now recruiting new stewards for a class beginning in the fall. The last two informational sessions are being held Monday, Aug. 22; and Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 6:30 p.m., at the Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center, 975 Indian Landing Road, in Millersville. Applications are due by Sept. 12. For more detailed information, contact Suzanne Etgen at setgen@aacps.org or call 443-871-0700 or go to http://www.aawsa.org.

Congratulations to the Russett Sharks on a phenomenal 2011 swim season. Not only were the Sharks crowned Division Champions once again, but they finished the season with a 5-0 record, won the Prince-Mont Swim League Division 'D' title, and broke several pool and team records along the way. Way To Go Sharks!
