Laurel: National Night Out

Laurel celebrated National Night Out against crime on Aug. 2 to bring the community together. A national event held the first Tuesday of August to strengthen police-community partnerships, Laurel Police use the night as a way to meet and greet residents, introduce community programs and demonstrate some of their tactical skills. The event is also designed to heighten community awareness and participation in crime prevention and drug prevention programs.
