Every time you turn around liberals like Barbara Frush are coming up with new and ever more creative ways to pick our pockets and make our lives just a little more inconvenient—this time in the form of the proposed 5-cent tax on plastic grocery bags. It never ends, and these people will likely never go away. It's just one cockamamie scheme after another—whether it's killing our beloved incandescent light bulbs, building windmills instead of real power plants or forcing us to install toilets that don't flush. I am convinced that liberals like Frush were put on this earth just to annoy people. It's only a matter of time before they propose a penny tax on every sheet of toilet paper, every ply of Kleenex or every paper towel we use. They are incorrigible busybodies and beyond redemption. And like every politician since the beginning of recorded history, they do it all in the name of "the public interest." The whole thing would be hilarious if it were only a farcical sitcom. Unfortunately, it's our reality. And like the Energizer Bunny, they just keep on coming, relentlessly and without mercy—with one mindless, annoying proposal after another.
Tree-huggers like Barbara Frush should be issued a "green card," not the immigration kind, but one that entitles them, and them alone, to pay all of the idiotic environmental fees and taxes they want to impose on the rest of us. For example, if they pull into a gas station and scan their green cards, they get to pay twice the price as the rest of us for a gallon of gas. If they go into a grocery store and wave their green cards, they get to pay the nickel tax for the plastic bags. You get the picture. That way, only those of us who are gullible enough to swallow their global warming nonsense will have to suffer for it. And it's all voluntary—if they refuse to apply for a green card, their hypocrisy is laid bare.
Liberals like Frush crave the adulation and affirmation of ordinary people like you and me—people they surely consider their inferiors and would never associate with on a personal level. The only way we're ever going to shut them up or get rid of them is to ignore them—stop shaking their hands, stop filling their auditoriums and stop giving them applause.
Liberals, like children, should be seen and not heard.
