Baltimore Avenue, 14700 block, Sept. 7. Attempted strong arm robbery. Man entered World Furniture Center, acted suspicious, told employee to give him his cell phone and then attempted to grab it from employee. Employee punched man in face, causing him to fall to floor. Man then jumped up and fled out door in unknown direction.

Stratfield Lane, 7700 block, Sept. 7. Entry gained through rear window. Nothing reported taken.

Arbory Way, 15400 block, Sept. 7. No signs of forced entry. Two laptop computers, clothing, GE DVD player, power strip, Redskins memorabilia and LG touch screen telephone taken.

Laurel Bowie Road, 14600 block, Sept. 3. Fifty packs of Newport cigarettes stolen from 7-Eleven.

Ninth Street, 200 block, Sept. 3. Male passenger offered to pay cab driver in marijuana. When cab driver refused, male jumped out of cab and ran toward Main Street.

Washington Boulevard and Hill Street, 12:45 a.m. Sept. 9. Person walking when three people exited vehicle, asked for money and assaulted him. Two arrests made. Police looking into whether robbery is related to attempted robbery that night on Glen Ridge Drive in Laurel.

Stebbing Way, 9000 block, 9:58 p.m. Sept. 8. Dark blue 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer stolen.

Alma Avenue, unit block, 10 p.m. Sept. 7. Man attempted to force front door open. No entry gained. Arrest made.

Livery Lane, 9200 block, 1:33 a.m. Sept. 7. Person seen throwing items from storage room. Nothing reported stolen.

Sandy Stream Road, 6900 block, between 6 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7 a.m. Sept. 7. Entry gained to home through unlocked garage door. GPS unit, cell phone and laptop stolen.

Anne Arundel County

Laurel Fort Meade Road, 3400 block, 9:53 p.m., Sept. 11. Armed robbery at Subway. Two males entered, one armed with gun, and approached two female employees. Armed man demanded money but employees unable to comply. Men removed undisclosed amount of money from employees' purses and fled.
