Laurel crime log: Three Laurel teenagers robbed at gunpoint

Laurel Police reports felonies, arrests and property crimes. Howard County Police reports major crimes, break-ins and car thefts. Prince George's County Police did not release crime report before the Leader's deadline this week.

Eighth Street, 500 block, July 27. Red and gray, 10 speed Schwinn bicycle stolen from in front of park.

Montrose Avenue, 300 block, July 27. Purse snatched from citizen while walking through parking lot. Purse, with miscellaneous identification and money stolen.


Belle Ami Drive, 14900 block, July 27. Gray 1996 Honda Civic with Maryland tags stolen.

Ninth Street, 100 block, July 26. Entry gained through back window of apartment. Items taken recovered outside residence on ground.

Contee Road, 7800 block, July 26. White 2010 Mercedes E350 with Maryland tags stolen.

Huntington Court, 9100 block, July 24. Child's scooter stolen from patio.

Montgomery Street, 900 block, July 24. Twelve boxes of Schlage copper locks stolen from car.

Fifth Street, 400 block, July 24. Green/black 1989 Kawasaki Kx 125 dirt bike stolen.

Nichols Drive, 900 block, July 24. Blue 1999 Plymouth Voyager with Maryland tags stolen.

Baltimore Avenue, 14800 block, July 24. White 2006 Freightliner Columbia truck with Maryland tags stolen.

Main Street, 300 block, July 23. Black and silver 2011 Yamaha Taotao scooter stolen.

Greenhill Avenue, 500 block, July 22. Three Laurel individuals, 16, 13 and 14, were robbed at gunpoint while walking. Two males jumped from behind van and pointed gun at the 16-year-old and demanded money, then frisked him and retrieved Apple iPhone 3GS. Second suspect took pink and white bag, and Monopoly game from 13-year-old; and green and blue backpack from 14-year-old. Then all parties ran. Monopoly game recovered later. None of victims were injured.

Vista Drive, 14000 block, July 22. White and red 1996 Honda Xr6501 with Oklahoma tags stolen.

Bayshore Drive, 7900 block, July 22. Blue 1999 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tags stolen.

Main Street, 500 block, July 21. Copper tubes stolen from air conditioning unit in church.

Washington Boulevard, 600 block, July 20. Entry gained through unlocked door. Copper pipes taken.

Laurel Oaks Lane, 15100 block, July 20. Tires and rims stolen from car.

Main Street, 500 block, July 20. Two air conditioner units stolen from business.

Kalmia Drive, 14900 block, July 19. Attempt forced entry on residence.

Harvest Bend Lane, 8200 block, July 19. Tires and rims stolen from car.

Baltimore Avenue, 14100 block, July 19. Cannon Powershot camera, two TomTom Global Positioning System and two Garmin GPSs stolen from business.

Fourth Street, Unit block, July 19. York air conditioner condenser stolen from church.

Philip Court, 14700 block, July 19. Two passports, cash, credit cards, jewelry and book bag stolen from pool locker room.

Vista Drive, 14000 block, July 19. White 2010 Mercedes E350 with Maryland tags stolen.

C Street, Unit block, July 18. Air conditioning unit stolen from behind building.

Fort Meade Road, 200 block, July 18. Credit cards, wallet, cell phone and cell-phone equipment taken from temporary lockers located at business.

Ninth Street, 100 block, July 16. Entry gained through bathroom window. Dynex TV taken.

Seventh Street, 100 block, July 14. Steel countertops, steel shelf/racks and steel drawers stolen from garage.

Laurel Race Track Parking Lot, 10:15 p.m. July 28. Man approached victim, displayed gun and stole victim's taxi, in which he was storing cash. Man fled in vehicle toward U.S. 1.

Covered Wagon Drive, 9700 block, 1:22 a.m. July 28. Man approached victim as he was walking to his vehicle. Man displayed gun and demanded money. When victim showed he had no money, man fled on foot.

Mission Road, 8800 block, 7:25 a.m. July 26. Silver 2002 Chrysler Sebring stolen from Guilford Road and recovered on Mission Road.
