Laurel residents will have a chance to bring their own issues, concerns and ideas to Mayor Craig Moe in a new program being kicked off Feb. 13.
Called "My Time with the Mayor," the program is part of the city government's "Government to the People" program. The casual, drop-in events will be held in city facilities in different neighborhoods about every two months, and will each last from 4:30-6:30 p.m.
The first event will be held Monday, Feb. 13 at the Greenview Drive community room, 14415 Greenview Drive, in the Patuxent Greens neighborhood. Residents will meet with the mayor on a first-come, first-served basis.
Future event dates and locations are tentative, but the city released the following list: Monday, April 9 at the Robert J. DiPietro Community Center; Monday, June 11 at the Laurel Police Department in the Mayor's Conference Room; Monday, Aug. 13 at the Laurel Municipal Center; Monday, Oct. 8 at the Anderson-Murphy Community Center; and Monday, Dec. 10 at the Parks and Recreation maintenance facility.
