Connie and Douglas Bell, of Maryland City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 3. A gathering of family members and friends was held June 5 at the Jessup Community Hall. The minister that officiated at their wedding in 1961 also performed ceremonies on their 25th and 50th anniversaries.

The couple has a son, Kirk, who lives in Germantown with his wife, Eileen, and their children, Megan, Connor and Ryan.
