Bentley Fazi and Ryan Deiter
Christian and Debra Fazi, of Columbia, announce the engagement of their daughter, Bentley Katherine Fazi, to Ryan Scott Deiter, son of Scott and Yvonne Deiter, ofClarksville.
The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of Atholton High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminology and criminal justice, and a minor in human development. She is a committee clerk for the House of Delegates' Ways and Means Committee, inAnnapolis.
The future groom is a 2005 graduate of River Hill High School and a 2009 graduate of McDaniel College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and psychology. He earned a Master of Arts in government, with a concentration in law and public policy, from Regent University, in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2011. He is attending the Phoenix University School of Law.
A summer 2014 wedding is planned.

Anne and Corky Franklin, ofEllicott City, and Dr. Alfredo Herrera, ofCatonsville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Elizabeth Herrera, to Joseph Gregory Schwartz, son of Gregory and Tina Schwartz, of Burlington, Ky.
The bride-to-be is a 2002 graduate of River Hill High School; a 2006 graduate of the University of Maryland; and a 2009 graduate ofLoyola University Maryland, where she earned a master's degree in education. She is a school counselor at Forest Ridge Elementary School.
The future groom is a 1998 graduate of Conner High School, in Hebron, Ky., a 2002 graduate of the University of Kentucky; and a 2004 graduate of theUniversity of Virginia, where he earned a master's degree in applied mechanics. He is a senior engineer for Alion Science and Technology.
A July wedding is planned in Washington.
