There will be two very important upcoming meetings affecting the North Laurel community at the North Laurel Community Center. Their first is an open house for the General Plan for Howard County. This plan will change the zoning down in our area by increasing the density. If you want to see what they are planning and have your voice heard about what we need and do not need down here, plan to attend this meeting on Monday, April 9 from 6 to 8 p.m.

The other meeting is with the developer of a new development planned for the High Ridge area. This plan, called Deer Springs is on the Kraeski property. There is a plan to add 132 homes to the site. Many residents are concerned about the removal of the woods and about traffic. High Ridge residents, please plan to attend this meeting at the center on April 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
