Come to Downtown Sykesville this Sunday, Oct. 14, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and attend the Sykesville Harvest Festival to be held on Main Street. This event hosts over 50 craft and food vendors, live entertainment and a free kids zone for families. It is also an opportunity for the local businesses in Sykesville to showcase what they have to offer. Bring your taste buds and sample the variety of recipes in the Chili Cook Off. Fall is in the air and Turf Valley Towne Square is celebrating. On Thurs., Oct. 25, from 5:30 - 7 p.m., bring your ghouls and goblins to do some early trick-or-treating through the square. There will be a pumpkin-carving station to create your own Halloween surprise. Children are encouraged to dress up in their costumes. Looking for another family-friendly Halloween event? On Sat., Oct. 27 at 5 p.m., you can also bring your trick-or-treaters to Downtown Main Street in Sykesville to visit the local merchants for treats. The merchants have partnered with Sykesville Police, the town of Sykesville and Downtown Sykesville Connection to make sure everyone is safe, sound and has a sweet time in Sykesville.
Save the date of Sat., Nov. 17 for the Knights of Columbus’ 12th Annual Bull and Oyster Roast to be held at St. Alphonsus Rodriguez Parish in Woodstock. The cost is $49 per person, or a savings of $95 for two people, $190 for four people or buy a table for eight people at $380.
