The Maryland State Highway Administration has received $709,000 from the Federal Highway Administration to support the Route 32 Wellworth Way Access Management Improvements. This project focuses on improving safety and capacity along Route 32. Private driveways that now access Route 32 will be relocated to Wellworth Way to lessen the risk of serious accidents. Other safety projects include new warning signs, rumble strips, restriping, and resurfacing. The design phase of the project is just about complete. After that, the actual roadwork will take eight to 12 months to complete. I guess we can expect some delays; but long term, it will be a much safer ride up and down Route 32.
