The Howard Chapel-Ridgeville UM Church will hold its annual turkey and fried oyster dinner served family-style on Nov. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m.A bake table offered by the parishioners will be available. For a new dining experience visit Bolders at 17004 Frederick Road in Mount Airy. This new restaurant replaces the old Drover's but with a new rustic look including a stone and wood interior enhanced by a beautiful fireplace. The general manager who oversees all phases of the food preparation, from purchasing to serving, is Ellie Ennis who has spent 30 years in the restaurant business, the last 25 of which were at the Coho Grille in Columbia. She is known for some unique dishesincluding white chicken chile and crabby green fried tomatoes. Her jumbo lump crab cakes are touted as the best in the area. Reservations are accepted, but not required.
