Air Force Airman 1st Class Geoffrey Bender graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, in San Antonio.

He is the son of Marcie Tuegel, of Glenwood.

Bender graduated in 2003 from the Bullis School, in Potomac, and received a bachelor's degree in 2007 from the University of Delaware, Newark.
