Lacrosse

The D1 All-Star Girls Lacrosse Camp, led by the University of Marlyland's Kristy Black and Katie Schwarzmann, will be held July 11-15 at Western Regional Park. The camp runs from 9 a.m.-noon and is for girls ages 7-13. Register at 410-313-7275 or at http://www.hcrpsports.com.

 

Baseball

 

The regular meeting of Talkin' Baseball will be held July 16 at 9 a.m. at Brighton Gardens, 7110 Minstrel Way, Columbia. Neil Lanctot who will discuss his book, "Campy." Call 410-740-1145.

 

Orioles pitcher Jason Berken will be one of the coaches at Leader's Baseball Camp. The camp is for rising second to ninth graders and there are four sessions to attend. Western Howard County Youth Baseball/Softball League is accepting registration for its summer baseball program. The summer session consists of one weeknight game at Western Regional Park starting the week of Monday, June 27, and continuing through the month of July. Go to http://www.whcsports.com.

Soccer

 

The Olney Cyclones D-2 White (rising WAGS U-16 girls) is look for an impact goalie and field players. The Cyclones will play in the WAGS Elite Premier division this fall as well as three to four tournaments. The team plays soccer year 'round. Email coachkenel@aol.com or call 301-252-7893.

Basketball

 

The I Got Skills Basketball Camp, with coach David Evans, will be held at Long Reach High School, 6101 Old Dobbin Lane, Columbia from 2:15-5:15 p.m. the week of July 11, 18 and 25. The camp is for high school boys and girls in grade 9-12. Email david_evans@hcpss.org.

Booster camps

The Glenelg High School Boosters is sponsoring camp instruction in the football, softball, boys basketball, baseball, lacrosse, cheerleading, volleyball, field hockey, soccer and speed and agility. Football/cheerleading

The CCC Warriors football and cheerleading program is registering for the fall season. Practice starts July 27. The Warriors are for ages 5-14. Go to http://www.cccwarriors.com or call 410-637-5999.

 

Football

 

The Ray Rice Football Camp takes place July 16-19 at Towson University. The camp is for ages 7-18 and is broken down into four age groups: 7-10, 11-12, 13-14 and 15-18. The aim of the camp is to teach the fundamentals of the game. Go to http://www.aascamps.com or call 1-877-912-2677.

 

Sports clinics

 

The Laurel Boys and Girls Club in partnership with Maryland National Park and Planning will be offering free sports clinic. The ages for all the clinics are 5-16, with the exception of football, which ages are 5-14. Football clinic will be held July 12-14 at WSSC fields. The soccer clinic is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at McCullough Field, located directly across from the Laurel Boys and Girls Club. The basketball clinic will be held on Mondays from 5:30-7 p.m.
