TSC Napoli (U-12 boys) had another victory over Freedom SC Galaxy, 4-0. There was a lot of offensive momentum with Evan Yagel scoring the first and third goals of the game. The defense provided a tight barrier with Ethan Fox and Nick D'Anna not allowing the Carroll county team to score.

Jackson Hughes controlled the midfield, and Patrick Blackburn sealed the opposing team's fate by scoring two more goals.

Soccer Association of Columbia travel

SAC United Premier II (U-11 boys) traveled to Warrenton, Va., last weekend to take on FCSC United. Despite the early morning travel and field conditions, SAC was able to produce another quality match maintaining the run of play and coming up with a 6-1 win.

Justin Harris, Lyle Knepprath, William Vasilios and Gavin Yancey provided excellent defensive and offensive play from the backline and goalkeeper Nicholas Lara came up with five counter-attack saves. Assists came from Harris, Aaron Kaplan, Ryan Saunderson (two) and Vasilios (two). Goals were scored by Harris, Kaplan, Chase King, Brennan Reamer and Alex Smedley (two).

Howard Stampede

Howard Stampede Elite 7th/8th grade team traveled to play the undefeated Belair Elite team. In spite of outplaying Belair and holding a 5-2 advantage in corners, the game ended in a scoreless tie.

Stampede started out strong with several scoring chances in the first 10 minutes. The front line play of Carly Clark, Julia Sheehan, Megan Hooper, Natalie Fyock, Lexi Rieu and Gabby Cadoux created pressure and took six shots in the first half.

Maddie Zehring, Grace Olson, Bridgett Cavanaugh and Keally Ingersoll transitioned the ball and made several key tackles to thwart Belair rushes and get the ball back to attack.

Defensive clearing and key tackles inside the defensive 16 were handled by Denise Lin, Lexi Souder and Gillian Kramer. Noelle Frost notched her sixth shutout of the year in goal for Stampede. With this tie Stampede's record for the year stands at 4-1-2 with one game remaining.
