Girls soccer: Dominant Dragons notch another win

Glenelg Country School proved to be a handful for Gerstell Academy in a 5-0 non-conference win. The Dragons distributed scoring among five players for their second straight shutout victory.

Tala Ahmadi, Ninah Dawson, Deja Hursey, Christina Horne and Krystal Roggerson scored, and Dawson, Roggerson, Sabrina DeLeonibus and Horne had assists in the win.

The Dragons dominated the host Finksburg school at both ends of the field, with the defense allowing just two shots on goal. Both were saved by Shayna Keller.

Glenelg Country has outscored opponents, 12-3, in its last four games since losing to county-rival Chapelgate on Sept. 30.

The Dragons (2-3 league, 4-3 overall) have now won four of their last six games and are in sixth place in the Interscholastic Athletic Association's C Conference.
