Chapelgate Christian Academy won four straight games to win last weekend's Grace Brethren Tournament. Chapelgate beat CHEN, FUSION, Grace Brethren and Rockbridge to claim the tourney title.
In regular season games, the Yellowjackets have beaten Pallotti, 8-2, and CHEN, 9-1.
Lydia Frierson and Kristin Thomas scored in both the Pallotti win and the CHEN victory, while Alexis Bennett (CHEN game), and Molly Carlson (Pallotti game) have also scored. Sydney Ackman and Amarachi Uzosike have controlled the defense and Jennifer Yahiro and Molly Carlson have led the midfielders, said coach Christen Gjeldum.
The Yellowjackets' first loss of the season was to St. Mary's-Ryken, 2-1, on Sept. 6.
Chapelgate is now 6-1.
