Glenelg Country School played visiting Park School to a scoreless overtime tie Wednesday afternoon. The home-standing Dragons had a distinct offensive advantage throughout most of the game, outshooting park 20-5 and holding a 16-5 edge in offensive penalty corners, but could not score.
"Park goalkeeper Maddy Wyda made some strong saves against the onslaught from Allie Pickens, Ellie Mamula, Lauren Smith and Hannah Veater," said Jessica McAdams, Glenelg County School coach.
Kevyn Jorgenson, Amy Keth and Nicole Rieu were strong factors in the Dragons' transition game.
Defensively, goalie Sarah Bates made five saves, including two huge ones during the overtime period.
The Dragons started Pickens, Rieu, Veater, Smith, Bates and Mallory Pappas on their seven aside overtime team.
