College News: Sherry, Mastalerz named Peer Advisors, inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta

The following students have been named Peer Advisors for the 2011-2012 academic year at Western New England University, in Springfield, Mass.:

Matthew Sherry, of Ellicott City, a sophomore majoring in biomedical engineering; and

Ryan Mastalerz, of Elkridge, a sophomore majoring in computer sciences.

Peer Advisors are a team of students who seek to assist in the university transition. Each first year student is assigned to a peer mentor who serves as a source of information, point of first contact and conduit to university programs and support services.

The following students have been inducted into Western New England University's chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta, in Springfield, Mass:

Matthew Sherry, of Ellicott City; and

Ryan Mastalerz, of Elkridge.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for first year students that encourages and recognizes superior academic achievement.
