Two Howard County students graduate from Excelsior College

The following students earned degrees from Excelsior College, in Albany, N.Y.:

Christine Comfort, of Ellicott City, earned a Bachelor of Science;

Luke Carneal, of Woodbine, has been named to the dean's honors list for the spring 2011 semester at Connecticut College, in New London, Conn.

Nicholas Donohue and John Steger, both of Laurel, have been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester in the Villanova School of Business at Villanova University, in Villanova, Pa.

Emily Battinelli, of Ellicott City, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester in Villanova University's College of Engineering, in Villanova, Pa.

Matthew McKenna, of Ellicott City, has been awarded the Robert W. Parsons, Xi 1922 scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year from The Psi Upsilon Foundation. He is a senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, majoring in chemical engineering. McKenna is the son of Michael and Van McKenna.

Nakita Jones, of Laurel, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Benedictine University, in Lisle, Ill.

Jacqueline Massare, of Mount Airy, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at Union College, in Schenectady, N.Y. She is majoring in psychology.

Brandon Capezio, son of Jeff Capezio, of Woodstock, and Tracey Beyer, of Hampstead, graduated in May from Randolph-Macon Academy, in Front Royal, Va. He plans to attend Georgia Military College, in Milledgeville, Ga., in the fall.

Shea Nixon, of Woodbine, has been named to the dean's list for the spring 2011 semester at the University of Maryland. Nixon is a 2010 Glenelg High School graduate and majoring in government and politics.
