How the hybrid board would be implemented

School board members would still be elected to staggered terms under Frank Turner's hybrid board proposal. The appointments would also be staggered. Here's how it would work and would affect the current school board members:

2012 presidential election

• 1 appointment

• 1 member elected from County Council District 4 (Janet Siddiqui up for re-election)

• 1 member elected from County Council District 5 (Allen Dyer and Ellen Giles up for re-election)

• Frank Aquino, Sandra French, Brian Meshkin and Cindy Vaillancourt would finish their terms

2014 gubernatorial election

• 1 appointment

• 1 member elected from County Council District 1

• 1 member elected from County Council District 2 (Frank Aquino up for re-election)

• 1 member elected from County Council District 3

Note: District 4 residents Sandra French, Brian Meshkin and Cindy Vaillancourt ineligible for re-election unless they move)

2016 presidential election

• 1 appointment

• 1 member elected from County Council District 4 (Sandra French, Brian Meshkin and Cindy Vaillancourt eligible to run again)

• 1 member elected from County Council District 5
