Golf

The First Tee of Howard County will be holding the LPGA/USGA Golf Clinic for Girls at Fairway Hills Golf course on Saturday, June 8 from 1-3 p.m. The clinic will feature Cara Huff, a sales representative for Callaway Golf who is also a former collegiate golfer. Attendees will have an opportunity to hit range balls under the tutelage of several of The First Tee coaches. Call 410-730-1114 for additional information.

The First Tee of Howard County's summer sessions begin June 29. Classes are for eight weeks and are intended for individuals between the ages of 5-17. Register at thefirstteehowardcounty.org or call 410-730-1114.

Summer camps

The Chenier-Wingfield Basketball Camp will be held at Wilde Lake High School for two weeks this summer. The first session is scheduled July 29-Aug. 2 and the second one is Aug. 5-9. Camp Inclusion is a camp based on forming friendships between students with and without learning disabilities, much like the Best Buddies program. Hosted by Glenelg High, it is a sports and crafts camp which focuses on reinforcing concepts the students have learned throughout the school year.
