Ice hockey

Long Reach (4-0) breaks for the holiday season after a 12-2 win over Howard (1-3). The 12 goals for Long Reach were scored by Jansen Early (six), Robby Ouellette (two), Jeff Dudley, Pete Dudley, Jarek Milauskas and Dominic Sesto. Assists came from the goal scorers plus Thomas Reboullet.

The Howard Lions scored in the first period by Doug Noonan, with an assist by Matt Taylor, and also in the third period with the goal by Taylor, assisted by Konner Ruggles and Noonan. Josh Fleming was in net for Long Reach with stopping 15 goal attempts; Howard's goalie David Boudjeda blocked 11 goal attempts.

Gilman defeated Glenelg Country School, 10-3, in a recent Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association Conference match.
